Liquid Cooling and Heating Garment (LCHG) Design & Developed by ISRO
The Indian Space Research
Organization (ISRO) has received a patent for its liquid cooling and heating
garment (LCHG). Liquid cooling and heating garment (LCHG) is a protective
garment for manned spacecraft.
It is a fitting suit that
covers all parts from neck to feet. The LCHG suit is worn by astronauts. This
suit can be worn for a long time and does not have any effect on the skin like
irritation or infection.
Liquid Cooling and Heating
Garment (LCHG) is made of biocompatible clothing and components for a
comfortable temperature and sweat removal for astronauts.

It will be used for personal
cooling and heating purposes for space, military applications, fire fighting as
well as protection from hot and cold environments of industrial areas.
